The History of the Emblematic Lemon
For centuries, Menton has been the heart of lemon production in Europe, with their love for this gorgeous fruit highlighted in their coat of arms and town's official symbol. The region along the French Riviera showcased their stunning fruits on 1928 and in 1934, the Fete du Citron was born.
The festival celebrates the high quality lemons produced in the region which are highly sought after by Chefs throughout the area and celebrations include themed floats to pay tribute to the embematic and much loved lemon.

Born in Grasse surrounded by her grandparents divine lemon trees, Karine has created a stunning homage to the aromatic lemon blossom that acts as an invitation for the senses to be transported along the French Riviera where the citrus floats along the warm summer breeze.
